Jess Vaughn is founder and principal of Urchitecture, a studio specializing in residential and commercial renovations as well as interior and furniture design services. After earning her Master of Architecture degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Jess rose to Senior Designer at SOM on projects such as the Air Force Academy’s Polaris Hall, 1 Chase Manhattan Plaza’s adaptive reuse, Waldorf Astoria’s residential conversion, and numerous other landmark buildings. Completing licensure and launching her own practice in 2018 brought new opportunities for collaboration and innovation, and today as a registered architect with extensive experience working in New York she brings a distinct sensibility and wealth of expertise to every project.
